"Tekken" 7 release date is slated for early 2017 on Steam.

Speculations have been rife about "Tekken 7" releasing for consoles since its release for arcades last year. Bandai Namco provided more information earlier this month during the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2016, revealing that "Tekken 7" would launch in 2017.

Details about "Tekken 7" arrived on June 13, one day ahead of E3 2016. The information came through official channels during Microsoft's event. The tech giant pointed out that the game would arrive for PC via the Steam platform.

The game developer, Bandai Namco, went ahead and gave further details about "Tekken 7," stating that the game would come with a new story mode. A new promo for the much-rumored game was displayed during E3 2016, focusing on a fight between Akuma from the "Street Fighter" and Heihachi Mishima from the Tekken team, according to Gamespot.

The shown teaser was well received when it aired during the event, and it left player excited about the imminent game. Viewers quickly pointed out that the promo combined fighting from inside the game, besides featuring cinematic-style action in a flawless manner. This quickly attracted fans, especially with the indications in the teaser that Akuma has links with Kazumi Mishima, something to be explored in "Tekken 7."

With regard to the release date of the game, it emerged that "Tekken 7" will come out next year, although Bandai Namco did not give any specific release date. As a result, only a launch window is available for "Tekken 7" right now and indications are that it will hit the shelves in the early part of 2017.

Meanwhile, the developer also delivered some good news to gamers that "Tekken 7" is scheduled to arrive on PS4 and Xbox One consoles besides the PC, according to Engadget. The forthcoming game will sport a gentle learning curve contrary to the previous games in the franchise.

Stay tuned for more details as soon as the game developer releases. Here is a sneak to have a glimpse of what fans will lay hands on when the game finally launches next year:
