Taylor Lautner has signed on as series regular for the upcoming "Scream Queens" Season 2.
The "Twilight" star will soon be appearing on the small screens as one of the new male leads for the new season of Fox's hit TV show. Lautner has joined the cast of "Scream Queens" Season 2 as Dr. Cassidy Cascade, according to Variety. The actor's Dr. Cascade will be one of the doctors that beloved characters will meet in the show's new hospital setting.
However, Lautner's character also appears to have a few medical problems of his own. Dr. Cascade is said to be suffering from a strange illness. No details were shared on the type of medical condition that the actor's character may have. Although, it was indicated that Dr. Cascade will become a suspect in following the tragic events that will happen in the series.
Meanwhile, the actor rose to stardom when he played Jacob Black in the hugely popular film franchise "Twilight." He then went on to star in movies such as "Abduction" and "Valentine's Day." Lautner also portrayed the character Lil Pete opposite Adam Sandler's Tommy in the Netflix movie "The Ridiculous 6." He has also joined the cast of the British comedy "Cuckoo."
In other news, "Grandfathered" star John Stamos has also signed on the join "Scream Queens" Season 2. The actor will portray Dr. Brock Holt, one of the new male leads of the series, who has been described as a brilliant yet secretive doctor, TVLine reported. Stamos' character is also said to be the head surgeon at the hospital.
The upcoming new season of the Fox series will feature the adventures and misadventures of beloved characters in a hospital setting. The said institution will also be handling some of the most bizarre and fascinating medical cases. Avid fans of the show can also look forward to seeing Season 1 characters in "Scream Queens" Season 2. Jamie Lee Curtis, Emma Roberts and Lea Michele have returned to reprise their roles including Keke Palmer, Glen Powell, Niecy Nash, Abigail Breslin and Billie Lourd.
"Scream Queens" season 2 will premiere on Sept. 20 on Fox.
