Google Nexus

Specifications of the next HTC made Google Nexus smart phone has been leaked featuring modest abilities which would more likely replace the Nexus 5X, and which could be the most basic of the Google devices.

The two new phones are codenamed at Google as Marlin and Sailfish wherein reports from Android Police reveals the alleged specifications of the device Sailfish, speculating its reliability scale to be an eight out of ten. It has been a tradition to use sea creatures as a codename for all Nexus smart phones being produced.

The device features a 5-inch 1080p (440PPI) display running on Quad-core 2.0GHz 64-bit processor with 4GB RAM, 2770mAh Battery and 32GB Internal Storage. It also has a 12MP rear camera, 8MP front camera, a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, a USB-C type Bluetooth 4.2, a bottom-firing speaker and a top-mounted headphone jack.

While the processor was not yet named, Slash Gear assumes that it is a Qualcomm Snapdragon model of some sort. Reports also speculate that the device could almost replace the Nexus 5X in terms of price and size from a 5.2-inch display to a slightly more standard 5-inches display.

The iPhone 7 and the upcoming flagship devices of Motorola this 2016 will be ditching the standard 3.5mm port for the headphone jack, but the next Google Nexus phone will retain such feature.

Reports also tease that the HTC-made device will be more like a "Desire" device than an HTC 10, adding that it will be a masterpiece.

In another news, Google is building a live support app called Google Support which includes a screen-sharing for Nexus devices, that allows users of the devices to share views of their screens to customer support which will help agents to resolve issues more quickly by having a direct visual access to the user's device.

But it is no yet confirmed if the final name of the app is Google Support or if it will still be renamed. Rumors reveal that Google plans to debut said feature on its upcoming Marlin and Sailfish Nexus smart phones.

Details about the prices and release dates of the successors of the LG Nexus 5X and the Huawei 6P was not yet revealed. No images of the handset are revealed yet and the specs for HTC Marlin Nexus are not yet leaked.
