That is, Iwan Rheon could have portrayed Kit Harington's role in Game of Thrones as both of them were the last two people who were shortlisted for Jon Snow's role.
Eventually, Rheon was offered Ramsay Bolton's role. However, he was asked not to disclose it to anyone until Season 3 of the show was aired and all he kept saying till then is that he was playing the role of "Boy."
Similarly, Carice van Houten was initially up for the role of Cersei Lannister, a role which is currently being played by Lena Headey. However, Houten could not appear for the audition because of some other project commitment. People love Sam Heughan and the quality of work that he delivered in "Outlander" as Jamie Fraser. Surprisingly, the actor was auditioned and rejected seven times by the "Game of Thrones."
In the "Game of Thrones," each Stark child owns a direwolf to look after them. However, actress Sophie Turner own her owns guardian in real life too.
"Growing up I always wanted a dog, but my parents never wanted one. We kind of fell in love with my character's direwolf, Lady, on set," Turner told the Coventry Telegraph. "We knew Lady died and they wanted to re-home [Zunni, the dog who played the role]. My mum persuaded them to let us adopt her."
