AT&T rolls out Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 for Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ & Galaxy Note 5

Network carrier AT&T is finally releasing the Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 update for Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+. Samsung Galaxy Note 5 users on the AT&T network are also getting the update.

The Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 build number for Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is N920AUCU2BPE6, according to the AT&T website. For Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ users on the AT&T network, the build number is G928AUCU2BPE6.

The Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 update is releasing in a gradual manner for all the users. It is expected to release for all the users in the next couple of weeks. 

Users can check their device to see if they are prompted to download the Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 update or not. To do so, they need to go to Settings> About Phone> Check for Software Update. 

In case they are prompted to download the latest operating system Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 update then they should connect their Samsung Galaxy device to an unmetered and stable Wi-Fi network for an uninterrupted download experience. On the other hand, they can also download the update on their mobile network but the users may incur high data charges. 

In case the Samsung Galaxy device's battery levels are less than 50 percent then it also ought to be connected to a power source. Failure to do so may interrupt the download process and brick the device. Local data on the device may also be compromised.

With Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 update, the Samsung Galaxy users are able to control their Android devices is an administrative manner. Instead of the camera and dialler shortcuts, Google now gives an option for quick access to voice commands. The new app drawer replaces the horizontal scrolling and allows the users to scroll vertically, which speeds up the navigation, according to BGR.
