Taking the "Game of Thrones" world by storm, actress Bella Ramsey reflects on her Season 6 debut and ponders on what's next for her character, Lyanna Mormont. Also, fans want HBO to make a spin-off series with the 12 year-old actress.
Making her debut in "Game of Thrones" Season 6 episode 7, Ramsey immediately captivated fans with her portrayal of the tough-talking Queen of the Bear Islands. She was so ecstatic that her five-minute scene with Kit Harrington (Jon Snow), Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark) and Liam Cunningham (Sir Davos) would make her an instant fan-favorite.
"It's crazy really and I didn't expect anything like it," Ramsey told Making Game of Thrones. "I am very, very happy that people like Lyanna Mormont. We had to keep it quiet that I had a part in GoT so now it's out, my family have had lots of people they know contacting them, really excited they have seen me."
She also weighed in on why Lady Mormont changed her mind to help the Starks the moment Sir Davos joined the conversation. According to Ramsey, Mormont felt that Davos was not looking at her as a mere 10 year-old but instead, the leader a respected house. More importantly, she realized that Jon Snow is indeed a Stark as Eddard Stark's blood is still flowing through his veins.
She was also asked what her favorite Lady Mormont moment was and although she stood out in the scene where she declared Jon Snow as her king in episode 10, she said that the scene felt like an overheated sauna. Hence, her debut scene remains as her favorite although she also liked the scene where she was riding a horse when Jon Snow and Ramsay Bolton confronted each other in episode 9.
Meanwhile, fans are urging HBO to come up with a spin-off series for Lady Mormont, Independent reported. They want to see how a teenage girl managed to become the leader she is now. It should also involve cameos from other prominent Mormonts such as her cousin, Ser Jorah Mormont and her uncle and the former leader of the Night's Watch, Jeor Mormont. Here is Lady Mormont's debut scene.
