Microsoft and Sony have announced their free games for July. Which company offered the best titles?

It is a whole new month for the gaming world and folks enrolled to the PlayStation Plus and Xbox Live Games with Gold programs get the chance to see if the free offers are any good. Microsoft and Sony have some interesting titles to consider though it remains to be seen which would be the best.

First up is Microsoft which revealed its freebies for July several days back according to Major Nelson. Among the games available for gamers hooked on the Xbox Live Games with Gold are “The Banner Saga” and “Tumblestone” for the Xbox One members.

“Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Vegas 2” and “Tron Evolution” is available to Xbox 360 gold members. It should be noted that the game titles offered for Xbox 360 gold members can also be played on the Xbox One through the Backwards Compatibility program.

Not to be outdone, Sony would follow and offer its list of games for the PS4, PS3 and PS Vita. The games for the PlayStation Plus Free Games, carry an interesting list of game titles as well as reported by Game Spot.

The list of games include “Furi” and “Saints Row: Gat Out of Hell” for the PS4. For PS3 members, “Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood” and “Fat Princess” will be available. PS Vita owners can get their hands on “Oreshika: Tainted Bloodlines” or “Prince of Persia: Revelation”.

The games available for July are great but worth noting are that most of the game titles are not classics and something that folks will likely rave about. Depending on a gamer’s fancy, the mix of old and new titles seem pretty much even.

The popular game titles in the mix would be “Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Vegas 2 for the Xbox and “Fat Princess” for the PS3. The PlayStation Plus offers do date a little bit more back but overall, the Xbox Live Games with Gold seems to have a slightly better game title lineup as singled out by Attack of the Fan Boy.

Opinions will of course vary and to be fair, check out if the PlayStation Plus free games can be considered better than the Xbox Live Games for Gold freebies via the video below.
