Actress Michelle Rodriguez gets hands-on with the Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3 Beta during a visit to Treyarch Studios on August 19, 2015 in Santa Monica, California.

Activision will be releasing the new Black Ops 3 Zombies and Descendant DLC across the platforms in July for the PlayStation 4 and in August for the PC and the Xbox One players.

Players will be able to shoot in a new environment with the new maps from the Black Ops 3 Descent DLC. Overall, there are four new multiplayer maps that players can embark on and use their skills.

The new maps include Rumble, Cryogen, Berserk and Empire which is heavily influenced by the Roman empire. Treyarch and Activision will be showing off the new Black Ops 3 Descent DLC maps in the following weeks, Express.co.uk has learned.

Besides the new multiplayer maps, the new Black Ops 3 Zombies DLC also adds a new chapter in the Zombies story called "Gorod Krovi." They also include the new Origins characters that will be introduced in the new DLC content for the famous first-person shooting gamer.

The new chapter will be based in Russia during the rough times of the World War 2 but in an alternate timeline where mechanized soldiers and dragons are roaming the battlefields. Stalingrad will be one of the key locations as players need to deal with Element 115 and dragons that are controlled by Group 935.

It is still unknown whether players will be able to ride the dragons or gain new mechanical perks in the new Black Ops 3 DLC. The dragons could just be enemies that need more bullets and grenades to take down.

Players will be picking up after they escape the Zetsubou No Shima swamps. The Black Ops 3 Descent DLC will cost $15 but it will be free for those who own a Season Pass, VG247 reported.

There has been no reason given as to why the Xbox One and PC players will get the new DLC later than the PlayStation 4 users. The problem is not entirely new as PS4 players are currently having troubles with the delayed patches in Fallout 4.

Activision is expected to give more details and trailers about the new Black Ops 3 Descent DLC in the following weeks. Players will have to wait for the official rollout to try out the new Zombies chapter.
