It seems that the rumored 2NE1 comeback will not happen this summer as Dara is set to fly to the Philippines to judge a reality TV show.

A teaser from a TV network in the Philippines announced Dara will be one of the judges in a new reality TV show. Since it is a TV show, it is most likely a long term commitment, which doused hopes of fans for a much anticipated comeback of the girl group.

Moreover, Dara said farewell to JCTB variety show, "Two Yoo Project - Finding Sugarman," which she hosted with MCs Yoo Jaesuk and Yoo Hee Yeol.

Aside from a TV show, Dara has signed as the new ambassadress of a shampoo brand in Thailand with a commercial.

In addition, apart from Dara's solo projects, YG is also focusing all of its resources to its new girl group, Blackpink, which is like the second coming of 2NE1.

Upon the departure of 2NE1 member Minzy, YG released a statement that 2NE1 will not be disbanded and are preparing for a comeback in summer as a trio. However, YG is known for delaying the debuts and comebacks of its artists.

Moreover, summer is just around the corner and there has been no teaser from the agency hinting any comeback of the group soon. The girl group was in hiatus since Park Bom's drug scandal.

Before joining YG Entertainment and 2NE1, Dara tried her luck entering the entertainment industry in the Philippines by joining a survival show, "Star Circle Quest". Known to Filipinos as Sandy, Park finished as the first runner up in the competition and gained nationwide popularity.

She starred in TV shows and movies and recorded a single. Her career was put to a halt when her family moved back to South Korea. She auditioned in YG as a trainee and the rest is history.

Below is a video of Dara being introduced as brand ambassador of the shampoo product.
