G-Dragon is reportedly the main producer of the new YG girl group.

The BigBang leader has been writing songs for his group since their debut. He also wrote the songs for his unit and solo albums. He also gave songs for other YG artist like iKON.

Songwriter and producer is the next path for G-Dragon like another YG resident Teddy, a former member of 1TYM. Moreover, G-Dragon has worked with some of the members of the girl group like Jennie Kim and Park Chaeyoung.

YG Entertainment has officially revealed three members - Jennie Kim, Lalisa Manoban, and Kim Jisoo. Yibada previously reported that the new YG girl group will have four members like its sunbae group 2NE1.

So far, the members reminded YG fans of 2NE1 members. Jennie Kim as the charismatic leader and main rapper CL; Lisa as dancing machine Minzy; and Jisoo as group's visual and center like YG's prettiest Dara.

The final member is reportedly Park Chaeyoung or Roseanne Park. She was born on February 11, 1997 and is most probably the main vocal of the group. She won first place in a YG audition in Australia in 2012 and moved to South Korea to be trainee under the label since. After four years of hard work and intense training, she will debut as part of the label's newest girl group.

The sudden need for a girl group arises when the contract of the label's OG girl group 2NE1 expired and the group's youngest member Minzy decided not to renew and leave the agency. Minzy is now reportedly signed to Music Works and will go solo. With 2NE1 still in hiatus because of Park Bom's scandal, CL's imminent US debut, and Dara's budding acting and hosting career, YG has no flagship girl group.

The new YG girl group will debut in summer or around July.
