Congratulations are in order for Emily Blunt and John Krasinski as they welcome their second child.
Krasinski, 36, announced on Monday (July 4) that he and his wife welcomed their second baby, a daughter named Violet, last month.
"What better way to celebrate the 4th... than to announce our 4th family member!!!" the "13 Hours" actor wrote on Twitter. "2 weeks ago we met our beautiful daughter Violet #Happy4th."
The couple already have a 2-year-old daughter, Hazel, who arrived in February 2014.
In January, the "Edge of Tomorrow" actress' rep confirmed that she and her hubby were expecting another addition to their family. Blunt, 33, and Krasinski tied the knot in 2010 after dating for two years.
Blunt debuted her blossoming baby bump on the red carpet of the 2016 Academy Awards in February, glowing in a pink Prada gown with crystal embellishments.
Earlier this year, she opened up to C Magazine about the dissimilarities between both her pregnancies.
Blunt said that her first pregnancy was a more self-indulgent process due to the massages, antenatal yoga and hypnosis therapy while during her second pregnancy, she would forget that she was having a baby as she was so busy raising her first daughter.
In an interview with E! News in April, the second-time-mom gushed about how Hazel was warming up to the idea of having a sibling. The actress said that the 2-year-old was in denial at first and pointblank dismissed the idea of a brother/sister with a "Nope," but later came around to it after they got the little one books on how to care for and look after a baby sibling.
Krasinski also opened up about how becoming a father changed him in an interview with US Weekly.
He noted that after Hazel's arrival, he started to relate more with his friends and family. "I had my daughter [and there was this] existential crack that happens to everybody in a different way it's a mirror that you hold up to yourself and who you are and who you want to be," he said.
