Three "Just Cause 3" characters fight it out in a test multiplayer battle against each other.

The multiplayer mod for the video game "Just Cause 3" that has been in development for a while now is now progressing smoothly. Community manager Sebastian M. confirmed that the mod is still being tested for different issues.

The upcoming multiplayer mod for the video game was developed by a team called nanos. While developing the multiplayer mod, it had an issue with the game's Denuvo anti-tamper technology or its anti-piracy security system, according to Kotaku. After a few months, however, they got official permission from Square Enix and Avalanche to continue the multiplayer mod, and now it looks promising.

Sebastian M. posted on their official development blog that while they were testing the multiplayer mod for the video game, they found several bugs. These issues needed to be fixed right away, and they are also trying to minimize crashes that usually happen when these bugs appear. They are also happy to report that they are slowly getting progress on making the mod playable, since they were able to play the game with it for about an hour without crashes or timeouts.

The development team for the multiplayer mod has also started working on having a main menu for the game. This new implementation caused the team to change their Chromium Embedded Framework or CEF to make it safer. With this main menu, it will be easier for players to interact with the different menus of the multiplayer mod for the video game.

Interested players who want to try out the mod will have to get the DLCs first to make it work. There is still no word on when the public testing will start, since they are working hard on the main menu, and the server browser. It was also confirmed earlier that the multiplayer mod will be released later this year, but there was no specific release date.

In other news, the development team has also worked on different video game titles to create multiplayer mods for them. The games that got the multiplayer mods were "Mafia 2," "Grand Theft Auto IV," which was an alternative multiplayer mod, and "Grand Theft Auto V." Unfortunately, the latter game title's mod development was stopped by the game developers in 2015.
