New details for "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" will feature pre-order DLCs, special editions several improvements on the sequel's fighting system and Black Goku added to the roster.
Bandai Namco announced several pre-order DLCs and special editions for "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" as gamers will enjoy several unique bonus features within the sequel. The first of these is the "Day One" edition of "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" which features a playable character from the "Dragon Ball Super" anime series. While the character's name is not mention a clear photo of the "Day One" edition featured the new villain, Black/Black Goku from the "Future Trunks" arc, thus speculating that Black will be the pre-ordered playable fighter.
The "Day One" will also feature a flying pillar that created character can use to travel around Conton City. The next special edition is called "The Deluxe Edition". It includes a copy of the game, an early access to Future Trunks as a playable character and a season pass, which features future new playable characters, episodes and quests, Masters and Master quests, new stages and character skins, accessories and skills.
Lastly, the "Collector's Edition" of "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" will feature a Son Goku Super Master Stars Piece figurine, an exclusive box design with metal Shenron and a Time Patroller's Guide book, Gematsu reported.
The "Deluxe Edition" will cost around $89.99, while the "Collector's Edition" of the game will be around $149.99.
In other news, Bandai Namco revealed several details regarding changes in "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2's" fighting system as producer Masayuki Hirano told Siliconera that improvements were made based on the fans response from the first "Xenoverse" game.
Hirano revealed a new game feature called "Reverse Dash" were in gamers can automatically pursue an opponent. Gamers can dash behind an opponent before they fire a ki blast in front of them as the player prepares for a counter attack. There is also the "Stamina Break", which allows gamers to take their opponents stamina away and they cannot escape their combo attacks easily.
Bandai Namco teased that more customization options are available for each of the five races in "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" and side quests involving different places in the "Dragon Ball" universe such as Frieza's ship, Planet Namek etc.
Previous reports already revealed a new protagonist in the sequel with Super Saiyan 3 transformation along with other playable characters like Future Gohan, Turles, Gogeta,Lord Slug, Janemba, Zarbon, Dodoria and Cooler.
"Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" will launch on Oct. 25 for the PS4, Xbox One and PC platforms
