The highly anticipated massive space exploration game “No Man’s Sky” from Hello Games is finally happening after months of waiting. Hello Games creative director Sean Murray made the big announcement recently.
Murray bared that "No Man’s Sky" will be out on Aug. 9 via Twitter, according to Dual Shockers. Aside from the release date, Murray bared that the massive space exploration game just hit gold – a term which means that the game is finally finished.
The latest update on "No Man’s Sky" puts an end to four years of hard work, a game featuring 18 quintillion planets, according to Game Spot. The ambitious game will allow players to explore the massive gaming world through the aid of a ship. They can explore planets and catch a glimpse of non-playing characters as well as landscapes from beyond.
In focus is the seemingly endless number of planets to explore. With 18 quintillion planets (18,446,744,073,709,551,616), it will be interesting if players can cover all of that and on whether there would be limits or some end point.
Given the large world players will find themselves, the chances of bumping into other players come to mind. Depending on how frequent gamers come online and how often they travel through the "No Man’s Sky" universe, the probability of such is not that high.
Those facts are just some of the things that should help entice players to see what Hello Games was able to accomplish and wrap up. With the controversial release date now settled, the only thing left right now is the game itself.
There is no word for now if "No Man’s Sky" will be playable on the Xbox or the Mac. With regards to game play possibilities, Murray hinted that the game could be playable on VR, Games Radar reported.
“It's something we're thinking about. Morpheus, Oculus... There's nothing more cool and sci-fi than VR and a big procedural universe. I think that, for the people who want to just explore, and even for the space combat and things like that, it would be a good fit.”
