Fans of "No Man's Sky" videogame are now confused about the official release date of the game. Sean Murray's tweets caused the confusion.
Many think that the official release date of "No Man's Sky" has again been rescheduled after the previous delay, as Sony PlayStation has earlier announced through an official email that the game release is scheduled on or before Dec. 31, iDigitalTimes reported. Game developer Sean Murray, however, was more reassuring in his tweets. He said that fans could expect "No Man's Sky" release date sometime in August as originally scheduled.
Fans are now confused because of the conflicting statement from Sony PlayStation.
Murray recently tweeted asking fans to check their PSN mail about pre-order announcement.
We refunded NMS digital PSN pre-orders cos of date change. Opt back in if you still wanna play in August!

He even posted a screenshot of the PlayStation Store page that has the Dec. 31 updated official release date. The game developer reassured fans that the later official release date of "No Man's Sky" is only part of the standard procedure because it was previously delayed.
One user, @hamlyn1974, commented that the release date countdown timer of "No Man's Sky" has been reset and showing 204 days and a few hours before the actual release date, which would mean around six months and 24 more days to go from the time it was seen by the user.
In response to the comment of the user, Murray tried to reassure the fans that the originally scheduled date has not changed.
For reference, the videogame was originally scheduled to be released for PlayStation 4 and PC on June 21. A conflicting announcement was made by the UK-based studio, saying that the game will be in the market on Aug. 9 instead of June 21. As a token of apology for the delay, the studio offered refunds and cancellation requests from fans who already paid for the other editions of the videogame.
Too much publicity was given to "No Man's Sky" since the initial announcement of its release, and many have expected that it was right on track but the developers later announced that it would instead be released on August.
Fans were very frustrated that Murray even received death threats because of "No Man's Sky's" delay. The conflicting statements between PlayStation and Murray have triggered doubts on the reliability of Murray's announcement.
