'Final Fantasy 15' Playstation VR gameplay unveiled during Japan Expo.

The fans' anticipation for the long-awaited "Final Fantasy 15" has been steadily rising. Months before its official release, a recently concluded event has provided avid players some interesting information while an upcoming convention will unveil some of the game's technical aspects.

Square Enix was just one of the gaming companies that joined the Japan Expo held in France's Paris-Nord Villepinte Exhibition Center from Thursday, July 7, until Sunday, July 10. Some of the lucky attendees even had the chance to experience the world of "Final Fantasy 15" through a Playstation VR (virtual reality) device. A video posted on Attack of the Fanboy showed a boy wearing a VR headset during the Japan Expo while grasping a Playstation Move controller on one hand.

Playstation VR gamers can take on the role of Prompto as he joins other beloved game characters in fighting a huge creature, the Behemoth. Although the full "Final Fantasy 15" is not available on Playstation VR, a very short version of the game has been included as an optional adventure. Avid players may also recognize the Behemoth as the same creature featured in the game's demo mode unveiled in 2015.

Meanwhile, "Final Fantasy 15's" VR mode appears to resemble a first-person shooting game, as indicated in the same report. The player who tried out the game during the Japan Expo can be seen shooting at the creature in the game, as he pressed a button on the Playstation Move controller. The player can also see the game's surroundings by moving his head in any direction with the VR headset on.

In other news, Square Enix developers will be attending the upcoming 2016 SIGGRAPH to be held in California from Sunday, July 24 until Thursday, July 28, Gaming Bolt reported. The game developer is set to present the various technical details behind the upcoming "Final Fantasy 15" game. Some of Square Enix's topics include the technology behind the game's visual effects, its weather systems, AI (artificial intelligence) and rendering techniques.

"Final Fantasy 15" has been set for release on Sept. 30 on Xbox One and Playstation 4.
