The team of Enzo Amore & Big Cass has been on a roll ever since making their WWE main roster debut the night after WrestleMania 32. According to the latest rumors, Big Cass is seen as a future star and he might be the one to go over Brock Lesnar to become the next face of the company.
The 29-year-old is a legitimate 7-foot tall wrestler with good movement and quickness for his size, as well as great promo skills. His look is what Vince McMahon loves and it is not surprising that he pushes him early in his career. Since making his debut, Big Cass has been booked strongly and has not tasted defeat.
In a recent episode of MLW Radio with Court Bauer and Mister Saint Laurent, Dave Meltzer said that there is a cloud surrounding the future Lesnar. The 38-year-old was impressive in his return to mixed martial arts.
Lesnar defeated and dominated Mark Hunt at UFC 200 on Saturday, July 9. He used wrestling and ground and pound to beat The Super Samoan. After the fight, The Beast sounded confident which means he could make a leap to the UFC full-time again.
Nonetheless, Meltzer thinks that Lesnar will put over a wrestler once he leaves professional wrestling again. The WWE has booked him as an unstoppable athletic freak that ended The Undertaker's legendary WrestleMania winning streak.
The superstar that will eventually defeat Lesnar becomes a superstar instantly. The WWE will have to stay away with the usual superstars such as John Cena or even Roman Reigns. Meltzer believes that the superstar that could go over against Lesnar is Big Cass.
"They've kept Brock so strong. I don't know mentality on Roman. The only guy I see is Cass. People react to him great, and maybe that's the guy Brock ends up losing to, but that could be in a couple of years," Meltzer told MLW Radio, as transcribed by The Inquisitr.
It is not a bad idea since Lesnar is still undecided about his future. Both the UFC and WWE could make another deal that allows The Beast to appear on both promotions. It can also pave the way for Ronda Rousey finally becoming a WWE superstar.
On the other hand, Big Cass is not a bad choice since he has all the skills and look to become a superstar. The WWE will have to be careful on how they approach his development. They have the tendency to push superstars, like Reigns, too hard and the crowd gets sick of them.
