Amanda Bacon's newborn son, Pierson, is pictured here with his elder sister.

The photo of a lady wearing an unusual underwear is going viral over the internet nowadays. The undies that the woman is wearing is not some raunchy, lacy or racy underwear, but the complete opposite of it.

According to Today, the photo posted by Amanda Bacon, a mother from North Carolina, celebrates the glory of the parents as they joyfully welcome their baby into the world. In the photo, Bacon can be seen wearing a disposable mesh underwear that has a giant pad embedded within it.

The photo was clicked on May 27, 2016, a day after Bacon's son was born. In her post on Facebook, Bacon titled the photo "Motherhood uncensored" with the following description:

"This is motherhood; it's raw, stunning, messy, and freaking hilarious all rolled into one," Bacon wrote. "Having a baby is a beautiful experience, and the realities of postpartum life aren't spoken enough about. And definitely not photographed enough."

Bacon further added that there is nothing like being welcomed into motherhood like an adorable baby and a giant diaper for the mom. For the 28-year-old new mother, it seems like the image of her and her son Pierson is an honest depiction of what it feels like just after having given birth to a baby.

The lady told the publication that the photo depicts the postpartum reality and the life after giving birth to a baby, which is a mix of the good, the bad and the ugly. It is beautiful and at the same time, a little messy.

The photo, taken by her fiancé Ken Hardy, shows Bacon having sweets, consumption of which was prohibited during her pregnancy because of gestational diabetes. The lady shared the photo of her bare back, wearing just the mesh undies, because she felt that postpartum women are not shown with the kind of discomfort the bleeding that they have to go through afterwards. In addition, she feels that women are not quite aware of what to expect after a delivery.

The photo, which has already been liked and shared for over thousands of times, has been appreciated by a number of fellow mothers. Some people consider it as one of the "realest" photo about postpartum life that they have ever seen.
