‘Pokemon Go’ cheats, tips: How to hatch eggs at home without walking

| Jul 13, 2016 01:05 AM EDT

Developed by Niantic, "Pokémon GO" is an augmented reality game for mobile phones for iOS and Android devices.

"Pokémon Go" players have to walk around physically in order to hatch the mystery eggs that are hidden near special stops. However, a YouTuber recently revealed that this is not necessarily the case.

One of the "Pokémon Go" cheats, which lazy players will definitely love, recently revealed is the hack YouTuber Rusty Cage has come up with. Players can make the eggs quickly hatch without having to actually go out and walk around.

The YouTuber revealed that by putting the phone top of a turntable, the device will think that the player is walking in circles although he or she is not really holding it. For those who do not have a vinyl player, they can still do this "Pokémon Go" cheat by tying the phone to a ceiling fan and get the same result.

With people around the world are going gaga over the "Pokemon Go" game, many landmarks are complaining because they are actually PokéStops within the game. PokéStops are places where players can get free in-game items.

One of these landmarks is the Holocaust Museum. Various parts of the museum are associated with three PokéStops.

Recently, the Holocaust Museum released a statement to ask players to keep Pokémon out. The museum's communications director Andrew Hollinger told Washington Post that playing the "Pokémon Go" game is not appropriate in the museum, which is "a memorial to the victims of Nazism."

"We are trying to find out if we can get the museum excluded from the game," Hollinger said. He clarified that while the museum is "generally pro-technology and encourages visitors to use social media to share how their experiences with the exhibits moved them," the "Pokemon Go" game "falls very much outside that."

On the other hand, safety tips were recently offered for "Pokemon Go" by the Baltimore County Police Department after a reported robbery. One of the tips is to avoid not going to secluded areas.
