"Moorim School" actor Lee Hyun Woo is taking on another acting gig. Latest reports claimed that the 23-year-old star and Chinese actress Yu Xin Tian are slated to headline a Chinese web drama called "The Most Beautiful First Meeting" (working title).

"The Most Beautiful First Meeting" centers on the reunion of two individuals, who were each other's first love, seven years after their break up. It is based on a popular Chinese novel of the same name.

Lee will be playing Go Soong, a character who seems rough and cold outside, but cannot forget about his first love. "The Great Wall" actress Yu will play her ex-lover, who seemingly still loves him deeply.

"I am happy and have high expectations for being able to greet my fans there through Chinese drama 'The Most Beautiful First Meeting'," All K-pop quoted Lee as saying before a group of local reporters. "I am diligently preparing in order to show good acting. Please look forward to it."

"The Most Beautiful First Meeting" is slated for release in the latter half of this year on both Korean and Chinese video sites. It is said that the upcoming web drama will be divided into 30 parts. More details about the project will be revealed soon.

The South Korean actor-singer made his acting debut on MBC's "The Legend." Building up his career by playing minor roles in a slew of large-scale productions, he rose to fame after his performance as Chan Doo in 2010's "Master of Study."

Lee gained critical acclaim as a North Korean spy in the 2013 film "Secretly Greatly," as well as a genius programmer in 2014's "The Con Artists." He landed his first leading drama role in KBS2's "Moorim School," alongside actors Lee Hong Bin, Seo Ye-Ji, and Jung Yoo Jin.

In the fantasy-action drama, Lee played the leader and rapper of a top idol group, Yoon Shi Woo aka Chae Joon, who loses his ability to hear, Soompi reported. Due to a downturn in his musical career, he ends up attending "Moorim School," a mysterious institute that teaches its students virtues including faith, sacrifice, honesty and communication.

Helmed by PD Lee So Yeon, the drama aired on KBS2 from Jan. 11 to March 8 for 16-episode. Check out "Moorim School" below:
