iPhone 7 latest rumors and release date: New color, bulgy camera among minor updates

Apple's iPhone 7 is expected to come with its regular color variants plus a new camera this September.

The iPhone 7 carries a handful of improvements and among those include an alleged new dark black color and a new camera. The flagship is expected to confirm all speculated rumors this coming September.

The iPhone 7 continues to hold off on the minimal improvements believed to be coming with it. So far, the latest on the Apple flagship concerns the colors and the camera it will have to offer.

As far as the color variants to be made available for the iPhone 7, Apple is expected to retain its traditional lineup of themes, TNW reported. That includes silver, space gray, gold and rose gold. Word of a dark black color variant is in the rumor mill but confirmation of such will likely be made once the device officially debuts in a couple of months.

The iPhone 7 camera is one of the more interesting features people want to know. Everyone has heard of the purported dual-lens camera tied up to the device though it may be present for select iPhone 7 variants.

The main camera of the iPhone 7 allegedly has a bulgy and circular design which technically separates it from the traditional design used on the iPhone 6s. Curvier edges and a sleek back portion will provide support to the camera, accounting for better image and video capturing according to 9to5Mac.

Despite the promising camera mold, potential buyers are reportedly unhappy. The concern is tied up with the unwanted bump it brings, something that eventual iPhone 7 owners will likely feel uncomfortable with.

Aside from the colors and the camera bump, the iPhone 7 is not expected to come with striking new features. Apple has opted to save all that for the iPhone 8 where a major redesign is planned.

The iPhone 7 is expected to resemble the iPhone 6s with minimal changes in tow. Among the iterations include the removal of the 3.5 mm jack, a higher processor and bumped up storage starting at 32 GB.

The iPhone 7’s battery will be longer-lasting, reportedly adding 14% more power. Other features to watch out for include a Smart Connector and redesigned antenna lines.

The iPhone 7 is nearing its release with features the focus of most. For now, here are some of the final design and leaks on video.
