Bandai Namco announced Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 this year for the PlayStation 4, Xbox one and PC platforms.

The latest details for "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" will feature a new "Golden Bundle" edition and "Dragon Ball Super" episodes added to the sequel.

Several theories and speculations from gaming fans claim the the current story arc in "Dragon Ball Super" anime, the "Future Trunks" saga may connect with the plot details of "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" game. The first "Xenoverse" game featured a mission for players to correct the proper timeline if several events in the "Dragon Ball" storyline and it seems it is still the mission statement within the sequel.

However, after Bandai Namco announced several DLC and expansion pack features "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" which featured the Future Trunks and Black Goku as bonus playable characters. It seems that the sequel will likely feature episodes from "Dragon Ball Super" anime as one fan pointed out the insignia in Black's ring of Time has been spotted in two corrupt versions of "DBZ" characters Broly and Janemba.

Further evidence revealed that the time travel theme of both anime and video game sequel will likely connect with one another as Future Trunks will likely be reprimanded by his actions in changing history. In the first game, Trunks becomes a Time Patroller, a group of warriors that protect and correct the timelines in the "Dragon Ball" universe. Trunks will likely headed down the same path as his video game counterpart as both Beerus and Whiz told him that his actions in messing the timeline is very much forbidden, Gamerant reported.

With that in mind, gamers and anime fans are expecting several episodes from "Dragon Ball Super" being featured in "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" anytime soon.

In other news, another bundle pack for "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" has been spotted on the official Gamespot website.

According to the Gamespot description, the limited "Golden Bundle" edition of "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" will feature a copy of the game and an exclusive Super Saiyan Son Goku glow in the dark Funko 3 figurine. The bundle pack will cost around $64.99 for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
