Since Samsung Gear VR was said to be a huge success, rumors are loud that a leak of Gear VR 2 was spotted on a particular listing.

It was in November 2015 when Samsung released their own Virtual Reality (VR) headset with the assistance of Oculus, and since the device was said to be a huge success, rumors are loud that a leak of Gear VR 2 was spotted on a particular listing.

According to VR Talk, the rumor started when a listing in Zauba may have revealed that the development of the latest Samsung Gear VR is already complete. The post cited several factors that may confirm that the listed device is Samsung's latest addition to its VR roster.

It was said that the model number of the VR headset in the listing is SM-R323, while the model number of the current Samsung Gear VR is SM-R322, and the other one was SM-R321. Aside from this, reports also said that it is quite noticeable that the origin country of the gadget was listed to be in South Korea, and Samsung happens to be located in the same country. In addition, reports suggest that Zauba is a credible import and export Indian listing site, and primarily lists things related to electronics.

On the other hand, in regards to the release date of the latest Gear VR 2, rumors are loud that the virtual reality headset may be released in the launch of the Galaxy Note 7.

According to Digital Trends, the recent VR of Samsung can be connected using a MicroUSB connector, which is why questions are rising whether the Galaxy Note 7 is going to be released with a USB type-C port, as it would mean that the current VR headset of Samsung will not work using it. With that said, fans are speculating that the newest Gear VR 2 will be compatible with USB type-C, and that the headset will be launched together with the Galaxy Note 7.

As of the moment, the tech company has not yet confirmed the release date of its latest Samsung Gear VR 2.
