Song Joong-ki Gives Each Staff Tablet PC Worth $1,140 at End of Shanghai Fan Meet

“Descendants of the Sun” actor Song Joong-ki is known to be a generous person, giving a lot of money to charity. At the recent Shanghai fan meet, he was generous is showing his brotherly love for fellow “Running Man” actor Kim Jong Kook as well as his staff.

Soompi reported that on Saturday, July 16, after the fan meet, the 30-year-old act held a wrap-up party for his staff and gave everyone a tablet PC. The value of one gadget is about $1,140 or 1.3 million won.

It is traditional in China for Korea stars who hold fan meets to hold a small wrap-up party for the event staff. The tablet PC went to all of Song Joong-ki’s staff, including the concert planner, stage directors, security guards and other behind-the-scene employees.

The actor also gave as presents to all the Chinese security team with ginseng health products. The Shanghai fan meet wrapped up Song Joong-ki’s first phase of Asian tour which were held in Seoul, Bangkok, Beijing, Wuhan, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hong Kong, Chengdu, Taipei and Shanghai.

Now, the actor can concentrate on filming “Battleship Island.” There are unconfirmed reports that he would also star in the movie version of “Descendants of the Sun” with Song Hye Kyo and he is being considered as lead for the Chinese drama, “You, the Scent of Love.”

Now, to wrap up the bromance he enjoys with Kim Jong Kook, Song Joong-ki said at an event for Chinese mobile phone brand Vivo he cannot take selfies with his “Running Man” co-star is their height difference. But he added that Kim Jong Kook is very good at taking selfies, while he usually watch a lot of videos and movies, especially funny clips on his phone.\
