'Game of Thrones' actress Sophie Turner congratulates co-stars Maisie Williams and Kit Harrington for Emmy nominations

'Game of Thrones' actress Sophie Turner says she is proud of Kit Harrington and Maisie Williams for their Emmy nominations.

Sophie Turner, who plays Sansa Stark in the hit HBO drama series "Game of Thrones," congratulated her co-stars Kit Harrington and Maisie Williams for their Emmy Award nominations. Harrington is nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series, while Williams is nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series.

In her post on Twitter, Turner said she is proud of her "big brother" and her "little sister."  Harrington plays Sansa's older brother-now-turned-cousin, Jon Snow, and Williams plays her younger sister, Arya Stark in the series.

The 20-year-old Turner was spotted arriving in Los Angeles in time for this weekend's 2016 San Diego Comic-Con, wherein she will be part of the show's panel. The Daily Mail noted that the actress looked glum and kept her head down, ignoring fans and autograph hunters as she made her way through LAX airport.

According to the report, Turner may have been in a "snubbing mood" as she was snubbed by the Emmys after what many believe to be the actress' best season.  GoT's Season 6 saw Sansa Stark's transformation from being a helpless victim to being a force to be reckoned with when she helped her brother win against Ramsay Bolton and reclaim the North.

Aside from Harrington and Williams, other GoT stars have received nods from this year's Emmy Awards.  According to the Television Academy's official list of nominees, Lena Headey (Cersei Lannister) and Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen) also got Outstanding Supporting Actress nominations, while Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister) was also nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actor.

Max von Sydow was also nominated for Outstanding Guest Actor for his appearance as The Three-Eyed Raven in the series.

Moreover, GoT is nominated for Outstanding Drama Series, as well as for Outstanding Cinematography, Outstanding Directing, Outstanding Sound Editing for a Series, Outstanding Sound Mixing, Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series, Outstanding Special Visual Effects, Outstanding Production Design, Outstanding Casting for a Drama Series, Outstanding Hairstyling, Outstanding Makeup, Outstanding Prosthetic Makeup, Outstanding Single-Camera Picture Editing for a Drama Series, Outstanding Stunt Coordination, and Outstanding Costumes.

The drama series has had 26 Emmy wins in the previous years.
