Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc., issued two safety recalls of its 2015 Yaris hatchbacks and the 2015 Tacoma TRD Pro model pickup trucks for various factory defects. The recalls only affect units delivered to Puerto Rico.

One of the two recalls was for 230 units of the Toyota Yaris. Toyota said the rear axle bearing bolts of the vehicle might not have been well-tightened during the assembly.

Once the bolt comes loose and falls off as the car's traveling, the bolt may damage the rear brake assembly. It might also cause reduced brake performance or a possible wheel lock- up, which could increase the risk of an accidental crash.

The second recall was for 20 Tacoma TRD Pro pickup trucks distributed to dealers in Puerto Rico with the incorrect B-pillar tire placards that indicates the tire size and recommended cold tire inflation pressure for the front and rear tires. Tires not properly inflated have big risk of a crash, according to Auto Blog.

Toyota released a statement saying it's not received any complaints, accidents, or any injuries reported with regard to the manufacturing defects. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration hasn't released a statement as to when the recalls will begin, Car Complaints reported.

Toyota said it isn't aware of any crashes, injuries, or fatalities reported due to the current conditions.

Owners of the affected cars will receive a notification by first class mail. Toyota dealers will cover the repairs at no cost whatsoever to the car owners.
