WWE Rumors: Cesaro has backstage heat for his 'shoot' promo after the draft?

Cesaro recovers after a hit from Kevin Owens at the WWE SummerSlam 2015 at Barclays Center.

Cesaro cut a post-WWE Draft promo on SmackDown Live and he looked legitimately unhappy about his draft position, as well as the brand that selected him. According to the latest rumors, Cesaro might be in trouble because all of the things he said were a shoot.

The Swiss Superman vented his frustration about his position in the company. He felt like he should have been a top-ten overall pick. He also mentioned that he would have been a better fit on SmackDown because it is a real wrestling show compared to Monday Night Raw.

The former United States champion also blasted Raw commissioner Stephanie McMahon and general manager Mick Foley. He said that why would he get asked about those two if the show is about wrestling and the superstars who perform.

The 35-year-old was really unhappy but he is going to prove to everyone that he can overcome it. He called a "little stumbling block" and he is looking forward to being on the flagship show. He also pointed out his difficulties to cut a promo but he countered it with a great reason.

"The problem is sometimes I stumble the words because I speak five different languages, we know all that, so the thing is I like to speak the language that everybody speaks all around the world, that the WWE Universe loves... that's the language of wrestling that I do in the ring. That's what I do best. That's why I always deliver. Cesaro on Raw," Cesaro said, as transcribed by Cageside Seats.

Many fans thought that it was the best promo of Cesaro's career and some believed that it was a shoot, not a work. One fan asked Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer on Twitter if that promo was a shoot or a work, and Meltzer confirmed that it was a shoot.

The term "shoot" in professional wrestling means that it is an unplanned and unscripted event. It means that Cesaro lets all of his real-life frustrations with the WWE out. It was a risky move for the Swiss Superman but it could help his career.

According to Wrestling Inc, Cesaro was legitimately upset about his standing on the draft and for not being assigned to SmackDown. The WWE also posted the wrong information during his interview by saying that he made his WWE debut in 1999 and was a nine-time tag team champion.

The Cageside Seats report noted that the shoot promo could lead to him getting some backstage heat. However, the WWE posted his shoot interview online which means that they approved all the things he said. All of his fans are hoping that it will lead to a huge push that has long been overdue.
