"Teen Wolf" Season 6 will be the show's last installment after running for six long years. For viewers expecting for key spoilers, the cast dropped some bombshells about the last season.

Fans were dismayed when stars and the showrunner of the 1985 Michael J. Fox feature film remake made the announcement on July 21, Thursday, at the San Diego Comic-Con.  The main cast, including Tyler Posey, Dylan Sprayberry, Holland Roden, Khylin Rhambo and Cody Christian, made sure that they were all present to thank their fans for their support. It was a milestone for "Teen Wolf" to appear at the Comic-Con for seven straight years.

"Teen Wolf has been an extraordinary journey, one that captured the hearts and imaginations of fans more than we could've ever imagined," The Hollywood Reporter quoted the showrunner and executive producer Jeff Davis as saying. "We're eternally grateful for the support we've received over these past six years and we're excited to take our brave fans on one last, thrilling adventure."

During the series' yearly Comic-Con panel, Ian Bohen and J.R. Bourne, who play the new villains in "Teen Wolf" Season 6, made a surprise appearance onstage wearing their Ghost Riders costumes.  The initial trailer for the 20-episode season was also seen for the first time during the event.

Before the big announcement at the Comic-Con, the cast and the showrunner dropped by at the TVLine's Comic-Con suite and shared major spoilers for the final season. The cast confirmed to TV Line that former cast members will be returning for the last season.

They also teased that Scott McCall (Tyler Posey) will be loveless this time after confirming that Kira Yukimura (Arden Cho) will no longer join "Teen Wolf" Season 6. Stiles first name will also be disclosed in the highly-anticipated season.

Back in April, the new MTV president Sean Atkins stated that "Teen Wolf" as well as the now-cancelled series "Awkward" and "Faking It" are all considered strong providers for the music-themed cable network. "Teen Wolf" is MTV's long-running original scripted series.

"Teen Wolf" Season 6 is slated to be seen on the TV screens in November. The MTV drama final season is wrapping up with its 100th episode in 2017.
