Pokemon Go: Tips to catch 142 Pokemon; Fix for battery saver freezing glitch

Here are some tips to capture all 142 Pokemon.

According to a GameSpot report, Brooklyn-based Nick Johnson has become the first Pokémon Go player to capture all 142 Pokemon that are available in the United States in the game.

He has given some useful tips.

Players should purchase a comfortable pair of walking shoes. Nick Johnson said that Pokemon Go is better at identifying a jogging pace than a slow walk. Players should walk in a straight line if they are trying to hatch eggs.

Pokemon Go measures distance by regularly checking in on a player's distance and calculating the straight-line distance between where a player was versus where a player is.If players walk in circles, the game will not precisely measure how far they have gone.

Gamers should concentrate on common Pokemon such as Weedle and Pidgey if they want to level up fast. These creatures need just 12 or 25 candy to evolve. If gamers are going to spend cash on the game, egg incubators are the best bang for their money, working out to 33 cents per egg hatched.

If gamers do not know where to find a particular pokemon, they should ask their fellow trainers. Players can also use the 'PokemonGoNYC' communities on Reddit and Facebook to swap tips with other gamers.

At Grand Army Plaza, Johnson has observed that rare Pokemon tend to pop up every 30 minutes on the hour and the half hour. Furthermore, it helps if players have a second smartphone they can borrow while they play.

The developer Niantic has also created a similar map-based game known as Ingress. According to reports, a lot of Ingress data moved over to the hit game Pokemon Go. Areas with high concentrations of XM clouds in that game correspond tightly with the areas in Pokemon Go where rare Pokemon pop up.

Therefore, to find a rare Pokemon, players can switch over to Ingress and find a concentration of XM, and after that switch back to the game Pokemon Go to make it appear.

Here is how to fix battery saver freezing glitch.

Players need to wait a few seconds before touching the screen after they come out of battery saver mode. Reports indicate that giving Pokemon Go a few seconds after the black screen vanishes reduces the frequency of the bug happening.

According to one Reddit user, players should press the home button while still in battery saver mode. Then, from the home screen, they should reopen the app from there, and they should be able to use it as normal. This option is particularly for users of iPhone.
