The latest details and spoilers for "Spider-Man: Homecoming" will feature three new characters in the film and a description of the movie's footage at SDCC 2016.
The cast and crew of "Spider-Man: Homecoming" were in attendance during this year's San Diego Comic con event as film director John Watts revealed the first footage of the film during their panel at Hall H. The film footage starts with an amusing montage set to Joan Jett’s “Bad Reputation,” featuring all of the Avengers’ and Stephen Strange's high school yearbook portraits to illustrate that all heroes have a beginning. The scene suddenly cuts to Midtown High as Peter Parker (Tom Holland) is the main focus of the scene.
Peter is seen attending classes and admiring cute girls from a distance. He works hard on maintaining his academic grades and crime fighting lifestyle as Spider-Man. Peter is also seen watching a video on YouTube during his encounter with Scott Lang/Ant-Man/Giant-Man (Paul Rudd) and the renegade heroes during the events of "Captain America: Civil War", while trying to create a new web fluid during a seminar.
The next scene a several of Peter's high school friends and classmates which include Flash Thompson (Tony Revolori), Liz Allan (Laura Harrier) and Michelle Gonzales (Zendaya). Peter and his friends attend several classes, while staring at girls which he replied as "creepy", but Michelle shows up and tells them.
Peter is seen in the study hall with a teacher (Martin Starr) as he gets a text and immediately leaves with Michelle curiously asking him where. Peter changes to Spider-Man as he seen fighting crime and web swinging, which were featured in several leaked set photos of the film,
The footage ends with Spider-Man encountering Adrian Toomes/The Vulture (rumored to be Michael Keaton) as his armor is similar to Tony Stark's (Robert Downey Jr.) Iron Man suite, but with wings, Screenrant reported.
In other news, another Spider-Man villain will likely be featured in "Spider-Man: Homecoming" as Twitter username Griffin Newman 2016 tweeted that the toy panel in the SDCC 2016 "accidentally" confirmed that Shocker is added to the film.
When several twitter users asked for more details, Newman stated that Diamond Select did not show any pictures of what the figures would look like, since they do not have enough reference points for specific characters at this point in time.
It seems that Shocker will be joining Vulture and the Tinkerer (Logan Marshall-Green). In addition, there have been rumors that "The Nice Guys" star Angourie Rice is speculated to play Gwen Stacy in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, even though Marvel Studios did not officially revealed her character name Express reported.
Gwen Stacy is one of the more popular Spider-Man love interests in the Marvel comics next to Mary Jane Watson and the character has been featured in several live-action "Spidey" films such as "Spider-Man 3" played by "Jurassic World" actress Bryce Dallas Howard and "The Amazing Spider-Man" series played by "Zombieland" star Emma Stone.
"Spider-Man: Homecoming" will be release on July 7, 2017.
