The Mummy 4 Movie official trailer preview Tom Cruise Sofia Boutella

''The Mummy'' is an upcoming movie which will be released on June 9, 2017. Sofia Boutella is all set to play the role of The Mummy.

According to Collider, the filming of this movie got over in a short span of time on July17, 2016. The principal photography began a few months back on April 3, 2016, in Oxford, United Kingdom. Tom Cruise and Annabelle Wallis were present during the final take of the shoot.

Boutella is the protagonist in this American action-adventure horror movie and she signed on the dotted lines along with Cruise in January this year. Universal Studios had announced way back on April 4, 2012, that they want to come up with a reboot of the original movie ''The Mummy'' which was a phenomenal box-office hit when it was released in 1999.

It was also revealed earlier that the script of this movie will be based on a female character. Going by the success of ''The Mummy'' franchise, Sean Daniel who produced the previous three films, chose to produce this one too.

Recently the media was full of the set photos of Boutella as the monster of this movie. According to Screenrant, the Universal studios are back with the horror theme again. Boutella's Mummy costume created quite an uproar during her filming in London recently. The Twitter had the glimpse of Boutella in the same costume and make-up and she looked quite scary.

Even though the filming is done, now the major work of post-production is remaining. The fans are waiting for the CGI (Computer Generated Imagery) to create the magic and give a different feeling to this eerie movie. Boutella's performance in ''Kingsman: The Secret Service'' which was released in 2015, was appreciated by all.

In the above-mentioned movie, she played the role of Gazelle who looked very genuine with her prosthetic legs in this spy action comedy film. Even though the film was full of drama where she had to kill initially being a henchwoman of Internet billionaire and philanthropist Richmond Valentine, at the end she meets her own death.

Her recently released movie ''Star Trek Beyond'' holds a lot of promise to the cinema goers. So it is quite possible that she will have a good fan following when ''The Mummy'' will be released in 2017. Watch this clip from the first movie which was released in 1999.
