"Sister Wives" Season 8 proved that the cancellation rumors of the series are nothing but a hoax.

By attending the TLC Summer Block Party in Chicago together like a big happy family, "Sister Wives" Season 8 proved that the cancellation rumors of the series are nothing but a hoax.

Fans were surprised when the issue about cancellation of the "Sister Wives" Season 8 made rounds in the internet. Accordingly, the issue rooted from the alleged plan of the head of the family, Kody, of marrying two additional younger wives in the persons of Amber and Mindy Jessop. The former is a family friend while the latter is Kody's youngest wife's step-niece.

Fans were further agitated with curiosity when aside from planning to take more wives in the family, Kody also plans on abandoning his four wives. The rumor was fired-up by the Brown's family friend, Kendra Pollard.

However, Blasting News recently reported that Pollard also noted on Kody's confusion whether to continue with the plan or not, as the TLC may take this against him and can consequently cause the cancellation of the show.

On the same note, a lot of fans also noticed the apparent contradiction of this rumor to the recent statements of Kody.

For instance, Kody said that he is already 47 and old enough to have more kids from any of his four wives, let alone have additional two more wives. Also, the fact that Kody was head over heels to Robyn, acting like teens in love and following her around like a puppy, seems to contrast the claim that Kody feels lacking in emotional attention from his wives.

In the end, it seems that the rumor is a total hoax done to hype up the anticipation for "Sister Wives" Season 8. The cancellation idea is of no basis as it can be remembered that the same cancellation issues also emerged when "Sister Wives" Season 6 finale was released. It turned out that everything was a strategy to get viewers' attention and interest, after the pilot episode of Season 7 rolled.

Aside from the appearance of the family in the recent TLC party, the network also featured "Sister Wives" as one of the top three shows on the website. Accordingly, this won't be shown if there's a plan of axing out "Sister Wives" Season 8.
