With the issue of deposition date for Amber Heard settled after the judge in the divorce case set it on Aug. 6, next Saturday, another issue has cropped up between the estranged couple.
TMZ reported that Heard is accusing Depp of blocking the divorce proceeding by refusing to turn over financial documents required to settle the divorce case. The “Pirates of the Caribbean” actor wants Heard to first sign a non-disclosure agreement before he hands in the financial documents.
Heard finds the agreement ridiculous because of a $100,000 penalty each time she would divulge information from Depp’s financial status. The fine covers the actress’s forensic accountant.
While Heard said the penalty in the agreement is an outrageous demand, Depp countered that if the deal is not breached, the fine should not matter. Depp said there is a need for a huge fine because of the amount of leaks that had happened in the past. The actor is worried that if he loses the divorce and she gets a permanent restraining order, it would show on and affect his credit, despite him having an estimated worth of $400 million.
