Marvel’s Doctor Strange is set to hit the big screens on Nov. 4, 2016.

The San Diego Comic-Con 2016 gifted "Doctor Strange" fans with the second trailer of the movie and going by the looks of it, it seems pretty rocking. But it is also going to prove revolutionary for Marvel's Cinematic Universe.

"Doctor Strange" will take Marvel's cinematic universe towards mystical frontiers, something that Steve Ditko and Stan Lee did for Marvel comics when they introduced the experimental neurosurgeon "Doctor Strange" to readers in 1963. And this has also been confirmed by director Scott Derrickson, who is helming the movie, slated to hit theatres on 4 November, 2016.

In his interview with Comic Book at the Comic-Con, the director talked about the groundbreaking aspects of his film. Derrickson said that Doctor Strange's entry in the 60's was a weird aberration as a comic book character, but it proved to be a pioneer for the Marvel comic book universe as it launched many new stories through the decades. And now the film is going to do the same thing.

He said that it is an innovative expedition into new cinematic territory and will also solidify the global presence of superstar Benedict Cumbercatch, who plays the titular character in the film. Well, Derrickson sounds pretty cool and with the convincing trailer in tow, one can definitely expect fireworks as Marvel fans.

Talking about the trailer, the movie might also see the Avengers making a brief cameo. Creators report that there is a huge possibility as the trailer has a scene with the New York City Skyline as backdrop and when one takes a closer look, one can spot the Avengers Towers among the buildings.

The scene looks like a climactic development, as the bunch of buildings, seems about to be sucked into a hole. And since the Tower is also one of them, it is pretty clear that the Avengers are in trouble and in all probability, will witness the actions of the maverick doctor as he comes to save the city from the baddies.

Looks like this revolutionary Marvel movie is going to be a bigger treat than what fans are expecting.

The following is the second "Doctor Strange" trailer, released at San Diego Comic-Con:
