MacBook Pro 2016 is the successor of the existing 14 and 15-inch MacBook Pro models and is expected later this year.

Fans have been eagerly waiting for the release of MacBook Pro 2016, and now it seems that there will be no more delays. With one of the laptop's major components, Intel's Kaby Lake processor, started shipping, rumors suggest that the MacBook Pro 2016 is expected to launch in autumn, particularly in November.

Intel has commenced shipping its Kaby Lake processor to OEMs and system developers. It is reported that the latest processor will be available to the public in a couple of months, possibly before the holiday shopping season.

The seventh-generation processor will offer several upgrades from its precursor. Customers should expect an improvement in the overall speed and graphics abilities. According to Gadgets 360, Intel's Kaby Lake processor will consume less power, extending the battery life for portable devices.

Furthermore, the latest processor will natively support Thunderbolt 2. Other improvements associated with the Kaby Lake processor include 4K video playback, HDMI 2.0 and HDCP 2.2 support, and 10-bit HEVC videos, according to PC Advisor.

Besides the new processor, the MacBook Pro 2016 is rumored to be slimmer and lighter than its predecessor is. The laptop will ship with four USB Type-C ports, Touch ID fingerprint scanner, and an OLED touch bar above its keyboard. However, the much-rumored device will not sport a 3.5mm headphone jack, but instead will come with a Lightning-to-audio port.

The MacBook Pro 2016 display screen is said to receive some revamp as well. The screen may not be 4K display as was initially thought, although an increase in its pixel density to about 400ppi is expected.

The upcoming laptop will also be offered in different color variants, similar to the 12-inch model that is now available in gold, rose gold, and space gray. However, there is no official information with regard to the hardware changes on the imminent MacBook Pro 2016. Fans should be patient until its arrival this November.
