MacBook Pro 2016 release date, news & update: MacBook Pro 2016 to beat MacBook Air?; Pro 2016 will be available in more colors?

The MacBook Pro 2016 may be removing the 3.5 mm jack as well, similar to the rumored plans for the iPhone 7.

New reports claim that not only is the MacBook Pro 2016 getting released soon, but this newest model offers its audience a wider variety of color options.

According to Parent Herald, MacBook Pro 2016 model may be released in late 2016. This newest model is said to feature OLED function keys, touch ID fingerprint scanning, wireless charging, USB-C/Thunderbolt, along with Intel's latest Skylake processors.

There are also some reports that due to the new design of MacBook Pro 2016, the MacBook Air may be phased out of the market for good. The newest MacBook Pro 2016 features a thinner and lighter design, similar to that of the Air's physique.

The new model will also be available in space gray, silver, rose, gold colors and in 13 or 15 inch models. Additionally, Siri might also be making a debut in the computer world through MacBook Pro 2016. Despite this, contradicting reports suggest the 2016 model of the MacBook Air may still come out, though the Pro might be the company's new "flagship computer" when it releases between August and October 2016.

According to MacWorld, the anticipation for the tech giant's new MacBook Pro 2016 may be hurting their sales a little. In the second quarter of 2015, Apple shipped 4.8 million computers worldwide, while the second quarter of 2016 saw only 4.4 million shipments, which is a total of 8.3 percent decrease.

To emphasize Apple's loss in sales, their competitors such as Dell, HP, and Acer saw a double-digit growth in their annual computer shipments.

Meanwhile, there may be virtual clues that the MacBook Pro 2016 is indeed underway, as both online and physical Apple stores have been detoxing from their old non-retina MacBook Pro product.

Furthermore, it is said that the delay in MacBook Pro 2016's release is the fact that the iPhone 7 is coming out without the traditional 3.5mm headphone jack and will be replacing with a wireless lightning port, the same feature said to be found in the new MacBook Pro. Perhaps, the company is going for a simultaneous launch to boost sales this year.
