Actor Ben Woolf from the show "American Horror Story: Freak Show" was reportedly involved in a car accident where his head was struck by a moving car in Hollywood on Thursday evening and he is reportedly in a critical condition.

As per reports of TMZ, the actor, who plays the role of Meep in the show, was struck in the head by the side mirror of a passing SUV when he crossed one of the streets in Hollywood. He was then rushed to a hospital.

Police officials pointed out that the actor was jaywalking so they did not charge the driver who hit him and that the driver stopped at the scene of the incident to check on the actor. Woolf remains in the intensive care unit of the hospital where he was brought to.

Woolf's publicist Zack Teperman said the actor is one of the kindest and hard-working people that he knows pointing out that his condition remains critical and asked everyone to keep the actor in their prayers.

According to Teperman, Woolf's family is asking for privacy at this difficult time so no other details were reported to the public about his condition, Charlotte Observer reported.

Woolf is in the latest season of the Emmy-nominated show and also appeared in the first season of the show but is more exposed in the recent episodes.
