Fans may expect the comeback of "Constantine" into their TV screens, as reports claim that the CW will be adopting the former NBC TV series.

It is said that the TV series, which revolves around demon hunter and occultist John Constantine (played by Matt Ryan), has the potential to return on regular TV under the supervision of the CW. The show is loosely based on the DC Universe comic of the same name.

Despite decent ratings and a growing following, "Constantine" Season 2 was cancelled after only having 13 episodes. This came as a shock to fans who have been dedicated to the TV show since its release. Thus, this same fan base hopes that the latest streaming of "Constantine" Season 1 on the CW Seed may hint at the show's production renewal.

According to Game N Guide, the rumor of the possible renewal was heightened when Ryan guest starred as the titular character on the CW's "Arrow." In an "Arrow" Season 4 episode, Constantine assisted Oliver in Star City as he attempted to restore Sara's soul, following her return from the dead through the Lazarus Pit, according to Christian Times.

The said guesting shows that the two TV series have connected universes and timelines, which strengthens the claims that the CW should indeed adapt "Constantine" Season 2. Similar overlapping of characters was seen in other DC Comics-based shows, such as "Supergirl" guest starring in "The Flash."

Sadly, "Constantine's" executive producer Daniel Cerone was quick to dismiss the rumors via social media. The show runner took to his Twitter to announce that he "checked with [executives]" and found out that CW Seed, which is currently streaming "Constantine" 1 for avid fans and first-time viewers, is a different entity from the CW Network.

Thus, the streaming of the TV show on CW Seed does not mean that the TV network is deliberately adopting the fallen TV show. The tweet was accompanied by a sad emoticon, expressing the producer's emotions toward the show's lack of revival. Perhaps, if the streaming of "Constantine" Season 1 captures enough viewership, the CW may reconsider their plans and capitalize on the show's growing fanbase.
