Jung Hyung Don has been confirmed to officially leave MBC's "Infinite Challenge," following his extended absence from the show. The host/comedian is suffering from anxiety disorder and since he has not fully recovered yet until now, he made the decision not to return to the variety program.

Moreover, Jung knows that his current health condition will not allow him to work like he used to be so chose to quit. On July 29, his agency, FNC Entertainment, informed the public that the comedian is stepping down from "Infinite Challenge," for good.

"We would like to inform you all that Jung Hyung Don, who is currently taking a break from broadcast activities due to health issues, is leaving "Infinite Challenge." As a fixed member for a very long time, he made a very difficult decision," OSEN quoted the agency's spokesperson as saying.

The FNC spokesperson added that Jung is thankful to supporters but feels sorry as well, because they have been waiting for his return for a long time now. The fans were also constantly sending messages to show their undying support, but this just made Jung sad because he cannot return to broadcasting yet, as he still needs more time to recover.

It was also relayed that the comedian did not simply quit the show but he met up with the producers of "Infinite Challenge" to discuss the status of his comeback. Unfortunately, despite the high hopes, Jung admitted that he is not confident about returning anymore. He expressed his worries that going back may only negatively affect his psychological health due to the pressures of working in the program.

Since November 2015, Jung took a leave from all of his show business commitments in order to focus on his treatment. His doctors informed him that his condition worsened because he did not pay attention to his health, AllKpop reported.

Jung's withdrawal from "Infinite Challenge"will end his 10-year tenure as a fixed member. His return to other shows like "Weekly Idol," Cool Kiz on the Block," "Please Take Care of My Refrigerator" and "People of Full Capacity" is still uncertain as well.
