Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 edge get updated with Samsung Cloud services and August security patch

Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge are now available at major U.S. carriers with a 4 GB of RAM in a 32 GB of internal storage.

Samsung brings its new Samsung Cloud services to the latest Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge through a software update with August security patch.

According to Sam Mobile, both Galaxy S7 and S7 edge smartphones gets an update that comes with Samsung Cloud service and a 15 GB of free storage on the service like the Samsung Note 7. Rumors suggest that Samsung will also offer the service to those Galaxy smartphone users who run the new version of the software that debuted on the S6 lineup last year.

The service will also allow the users to have the latest copy of their smartphone data on the cloud for easy access if they have a newer device. The service will also be available ahead of the retail availability of Note 7. In the near future, Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S6, S6 edge, and S6 edge+ smartphones will also have the service.

Also, the update includes the security updates from July and improves the performance of Bluetooth and NFC connectivity options. If downloaded, it has a 151.89 MB. It can be downloaded if the Download updates manually button is pressed in the Settings » About device menu. It can also be downloaded via Samsung's Smart Switch software on a PC, which is also a great way in transferring data from one device to another.

Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge are now available at major U.S. carriers, as iDigital Times reported. Both smartphones come with a 4 GB of RAM in a 32 GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 200 GB via a microSD card. They feature a 12-megapixel camera at the back with an aperture of f/1.7 and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. They run on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system. They sport an IP68 rating water resistant feature.

Galaxy S7, on the one hand, has a 5.1-inch quad high-definition display. It is powered by Exynos 8890 chipset. It is packed with a 3000 mAh battery. It will be available in black and gold colors. On the other hand, Galaxy S7 edge has a bigger 5.5-inch quad high-definition dual-edge display. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset. It is packed with a 3600 mAh battery. It will be available in black, gold, and silver colors.
