'Game of Thrones' actor Danie Portman slams theater audience who disrespected Kit Harington

Actor Daniel Portman attends the premiere of HBO's 'Game Of Thrones' Season 6 at TCL Chinese Theatre on April 10, 2016 in Hollywood, California.

"Game of Thrones" star Daniel Portman, who plays as Podrick Payne in the HBO-hit, says that people who go to theatres should display and show etiquette.

There was a controversy behind Kit Harington's "Doctor Faustus" performance. The audience and watchers have been slammed by theater producer Richard Jordan for eating chicken nuggets and taking photos during the final performance of the show.

Despite this, Kit Harington, who plays as Jon Snow in the HBO blockbuster TV series, said that he does not mind and has no problem with fans who bring food into the theater. The international British producer said that during the show, he witnessed that a lot of people who were watching were also talking and eating at a post in The Stage.

Portman supports this criticism by saying that people watch shows and plays in theaters should at least show some respect by abiding by etiquette and good manners. "The fans may have paid the money for the tickets," The Digital Spy quoted the actor as saying, "but they should also have the decency to just enjoy the moment without taking photos."

Furthermore, Portman said that talking, reading the paper, and virtually any activity that shifts the watcher's focus from the play is disrespectful. He stated that these are things you can do anytime once you are outside the theater, and at the same time, doing these things are also disrespectful towards other people who simply want to watch and savor the moment.

He also made a comparison between theatres, in which one cannot simply pause the show and return to continue it after leaving the room or doing something else. Portman suggested that people who go to theaters should first think through if they can handle a few hours without fondling their phone, and advised them not to come at all if they cannot fulfill this little request.

Portman will be starring in "The Collector" during this month of August at The Vaults Theatre in London. Harington may not be mad over the theater audience who ate chicken nuggets during his play, but Portman does not hold the same views. To put the steam off a bit, here's a video of Harington meeting up with fans outside the theater.
