"Fifty Shades Darker" star Luke Grimes recently opened up about his character Elliot Grey in the upcoming sequel.
While speaking with Da Man magazine, the actor said that there is a certain level of depth for "Fifty Shades Darker" and "Fifty Shades Freed" because the sequels will not just revolve around Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan) and Anastasia Steele (Dakota Johnson).
"The new films have many new characters and are much more involved than the first film, which was actually more of a simple love story that focused mainly on getting to know the central characters. There are also some new people on the creative side of things, so I think that fans can look forward to seeing something fresh and a little different," he said.
Meanwhile, Elliott and Kate Kavanagh's (Eloise Mumford) love story will continue to flourish in "Fifty Shades Darker" and "Fifty Shades Freed." The couple first met in "Fifty Shades of Grey" and was introduced to each other by Christian and Anastasia.
Elliot happens to be Christian's brother, while Kate happens to be Anastasia's best friend and roommate.
In other news, Twitter user @fsog_greysessed recently shared a series of photos featuring Grimes on the set of "Fifty Shades Darker."
"Fifty Shades Darker" is slated to hit theaters in the United States on Feb. 10, 2017.
