iPad Air 3 will launch in March 2017 instead of in November 2016 due to iPad Pro 9.7

According to new reports, iPad Air 3 will have Apple Watch-like digital crown.

The upcoming Apple device is expected to be released in October 2016, Macworld UK reported. Several people were anticipating the tablet to be announced together with the iPhone 6s in September, or the iPhone SE in March. But the tech giant Apple released the iPad Pro in 9.7in and 12.9in flavors.

The software company launched an iPad Pro in the same 9.7in form factor as the Apple iPad Air. This has led people to speculate that Apple will retire the Air range in favor of iPad Pro variants.

It is not confirmed whether the Cupertino-based company will add to its iPad Air portfolio in the future.
Speculations are making the rounds that the forthcoming iPad Air 3 will have a mechanical input like the Apple Watch.

The tablet is expected to have a digital crown like that seen on the watch. Rumors are also making the rounds that the upcoming Air 3 will be slimmer than the Apple iPad Air 2. The company has put a huge emphasis on the thinness of the products lately, with the MacBook 2016 becoming slimmer than ever.

Furthermore, it is said that the forthcoming 2016 MacBook Pro will be even slimmer than the current MacBook Air.

Speculations are doing the rounds that the new iPad Air 3 will have a Smart Connector. It will mean that the tablet will be able to connect with Smart devices such as the Apple pencil and a keyboard.

Meanwhile, several devices are scheduled to be launched by the tech company Apple before the end of this year. Aside from the MacBook Pro 2016, Apple Watch 2 and iPhone 7, the iPad Mini 5 is also anticipated to arrive.

It is confirmed that the new iPad Mini will be installed with an A9 chipset that will deliver more powerful features.

It is expected that the forthcoming iPad Mini 5 will come out with a smaller battery pack, resulting in a lighter and slimmer design. According to a Mirror report, the device will just be 5 mm thick. The 3D Touch screen is also expected to be seen in the iPad Mini 5.
