Fans of “Descendants of the Sun” actress Song Hye Kyo need to double their efforts if they want her to win the "Goddess of Asia" title.

Just one day after it was reported that she was in second place with 1,436,709 votes, she slipped to sixth place with 1,683,756 votes. Chinese actress Zhao Liying has grabbed from Yang Mi the top spot with 1,690,000 votes, reported Inquisitr.

It meant Zhao Liying widened her lead from Song Hye Kyo by 6,244 votes from only 427 votes on Wednesday when Yang Mi was on number 1 spot. With the “Descendants of the Sun” actress in sixth place, four other Asian celebrities stand between her and Zhao Liying. The difference between Song Hye Kyo and the actress in fifth place is 1,338 votes.

Actually, Song Hye Kyo briefly held the top spot before she slipped to sixth place. To bring her back to first place, there is a major social media campaign for the Hallyu actress to improve her ranking in time for the next vote on Saturday, Aug. 6.

After Saturday, there are two more rounds of voting – on Aug. 20 and Sept. 3, which is the final round.

By Saturday, the list will be trimmed to 20 women celebrities, and fans of the actress believe she can easily make the cut. Thanks to her role in “Descendants of the Sun,” Song Hye Kyo is on top of her game and has good chances of winning the “Goddess of Asia” title.

In the meantime, she just enjoyed reuniting with the other actors, writers and producer of the blockbuster drama to record their commentary for the upcoming director’s cut DVD.
