“Descendants of the Sun” actor Song Joong-ki may have played a bromance game with fellow “Running Man” actor Kim Jong Kook on Saturday, July 16, at the Shanghai fan meet.
With his followers found the teasing game funny, fans of the 16-episode Hallyu would finally witness what they have long been waiting for in Song Joong-ki’s fan meets in China. He would finally marry co-star Song Hye Kyo.
But that would only be in the movie version of “Descendants of the Sun” as the two relive their roles as Army Captain Yoo Shi Jin and Kang Mo-Yeon, not in real-life, reported Mobilenapps. The two had been hit by dating rumors, but Song Joong-ki and Song Hye Kyo had consistently denied they are in a romantic relationship and insisted they are only good friends.
To complicate matters, “Full House” star Lee Min Ho did not hide that he likes to work with Song Hye Kyo in the future and that he likes her. Lee Min Ho made the statement after his recent breakup with long-time girlfriend, Bae Suzy, who now stars in “Uncontrollably Fond.”
Morning Ledger speculated that the reason why the “Descendants of the Sun” actress is hesitant to date Song Joong-ki is her past experience with former boyfriend G.I. Joe star Lee Byung-Hun. A year after they announced their relationship in 2003, they broke up and he blamed it on Song Hye Kyo’s too much focus on her acting career.
Because of the traumatic experience, she vowed to herself never to be romantically involved with a “pretty boy” again. Song Joong-ki happens to be a pretty boy too.
