Black Pink unveils final ‘Boombayah’ teaser for upcoming Korean music industry debut

Avid South Korean music lovers will soon have another girl group to fan over. YG Entertainment's newest group Black Pink has recently unveiled the cover image for one of its upcoming songs.

Black Pink has been slated to make its debut in the South Korean music industry in August. Ahead of the group's official launch, the four-member singing team has been unveiling several teaser images to showcase the band's upcoming tracks. The latest teaser revealed by YG Entertainment has shown a black-and-white cover of the group's "Boombayah" track, Soompi reported.

In the said image, the four ladies that comprise Black Pink namely Jennie, Rose, Lisa and Jisso, posed with their hands in the air while sparks and bright lights from firecrackers surrounded the girl group. The photo also teased of the new singing group's debut album titled "Square One." It appears that the group will also unveil two music videos during the band's upcoming debut.

Black Pink's launch will be marked with a showcase that will also be shown online through Naver V-Line, as indicated in the same report. Music fans may expect to see the group's videos for the songs such as "Boombayah," as well as "Whistle." The track "Boombayah" has been described as a song fit for summer, while the latter has a hip-hop vibe with a "dreamlike" and sexy beat.

The group is said to have been preparing for their debut for the past four to six years. However, some fans may recognize a few of the members given their appearances in various music videos, dramas and advertisements over the years. A few of the four-member group has also collaborated with some of their fellow YG Entertainment musicians.

Meanwhile, one of the teaser images that Black Pink has previously revealed included a debut countdown image. It showed the group members in what appears to be a pedestrian walkway inside a subway tunnel, allkpop reported. The four ladies of the group each had a serious look on their faces as they posed for the camera.

Black Pink will mark its musical debut, as well as unveil some of its new music videos, on Monday, Aug. 8 in South Korea.
