The producers of new Korean Hallyu “Uncontrollably Fond” are going the extra mile to recover lost ground insofar as ratings are concerned after the show slipped to third from first place.
After getting Bae Suzy and SISTAR’s Hyorin to record original soundtrack songs for the series, it released on Wednesday behind-the-scene shots of its top stars. The photos show Kim Woo Bin, Bae Suzy, Lim Joo Eun and Lim Ju Hwan memorizing their lines.
The collage show the actors and actresses scanning their lines repeatedly and going over the scripts to perfect their chemistry, reported AllKPop. "Kim Woo Bin, Suzy, Lim Ju Hwan, and Lim Joo Eun never took their eyes off the scripts no matter what the situation. Their passion really gave life to their chemistry on screen. The actors' extraordinary, fervent zeal was the main force to creating a more beloved drama,” the production company said in a statement.
However, while the drama is losing audience in South Korea, in China, it is gaining viewers. Yonhap reported that “Uncontrollably Fond’s” viewers in China, over Youku, a video-sharing platform, has reached 776 million views.
Chinese fans of the drama, which first aired in July, are hoping it would not suffer the fate of the show’s stars whose scheduled fan meet on Saturday was abruptly cancelled three day before the event.
