'Real Chance Of Love' Star Ahmad Givens Dies At Age 33

Ahmad "Real" Givens, star of the VH1 series "Real Chance of Love" died on Feb 21 at the age of 33. According to relatives, Givens fought a long battle with colon cancer.

It was "incredibly sad" to report the death of Givens, according to VH1The celebrity was reportedly diagnosed with stage four colon cancer as early as 2013 and was given only two weeks to live. However, the star battled the illness for over 2 years and was feeling positive about his prognosis. "Our hearts go out to Real's brother Chance and their loved ones, we'll truly miss this member of the VH1 family." The network further stated.

In an Instagram post on Jan. 9, Givens stated that he was not feeling well, but thanked fans for birthday wishes.

Using the hashtag #RIPReal, fans all over the world shared sentiments and condolences on the internet after the news broke on Saturday.

According to TMZ, "Real" givens was having speech and vision problems on Friday night, when he was visited by family.

Ahmad givens was also a part of the rap group "The Stallionaires" and was perhaps best-known for his long luxurious perm. He first appeared with brother "Chance" Givens as a contestant on the reality show "I Love New York". The duo lost the show, but continued to work on other projects such as an album, radio show and spin-off reality shows including "Real Chance of Love".

In an Instagram post, brother Chance Givens bid farewell to his "favorite guy in this whole world." The caption also stated, "Words can't describe my pain."
