Apple will not release the new MacBook Pro 2016 on September 7.
If reports are anything to go by, Cupertino-based Apple is preparing the first important overhaul of its Pro laptop line in over four years.
The notebooks will contain more efficient and powerful graphics processors, will include a touch screen strip and will be slimmer, according to Time. It is expected that the new devices will be launched during the fourth quarter.
However, the MacBook Pro 2016 will not be launched on September 7 like the iPhone 7 Plus and iPhone 7 will be. According to a MacRumors report, the new devices will be released in October.
The most important addition to the upcoming Apple device is a secondary display above the keyboard. The smaller display will utilize Organic Light-Emitting Diodes, a sharper, lighter and thinner screen technology,
The goal of the company is to simplify keyboard shortcuts used by users. Theoretically, when iTunes is open, the panel will display media playback controls. During word processing tasks, the panel could display editing commands.
In addition, the display lets the software company to add new buttons through software updates.
The new MacBook Pros will be slimmer than the present models but are not tapered like the newest 12-inch MacBook and MacBook Air. The new devices have a smaller footprint than present models. Also, the pressure-sensitive trackpad is wider.
Also, the company has considered bringing silver, gold and gray colors to the new line. It is not known whether colored MacBook Pro laptops will be available when the new line is launched.
The Cupertino-based company is planning to bring over Touch ID fingerprint technology to the new MacBook Pro line. It has tested versions of the forthcoming notebooks that integrate the scanner beside the new function key display.
The sensor will enable users to log in fast as well as authenticate Apple Pay purchases. The new devices will encrypt fingerprint data.
Earlier reports suggested that the tech company may remove the MacBook Air line from their product list as they concentrate on the Pro line-up. Now, new reports claim that MacBook Air 2016 may be released by the company in September.
