Nicki Minaj's ex Safaree Samuels recently fired back at the "Anaconda" singer amid rumors that the latter sued the former for physical and emotional abuse.

On his Twitter account, a fan asked Samuels if he thinks it's possible to forgive Minaj for what she's done to him. "You think you & Nicki Minaj could ever be friends?" Samuels replied, "If she put her pride to the side yes..."

Meanwhile, Minaj and Samuels ended their relationship in 2014 and their split did not turn out well. At that time, the singer was told that the latter is contemplating on filing a lawsuit against her. Minaj slammed the rumors by accusing of Samuels of simply being bored. Since he didn't have a job and allegedly didn't want to get one, he has so much time in his hands.

Minaj also tweeted at that time, "Two years later, this poor excuse of a man is suing me and claiming to have been physically and emotionally abused. He's so miserable... Look at what men have become, so that they don't have to work. Fathers, please stay in your son's lives."

During an interview in May, Minaj also claimed that Samuels is jealous of her relationship with Meek Mill. Samuels denied the allegations by saying that he didn't even file a lawsuit against his ex-girlfriend so they will no longer be linked to one another.

While speaking with TMZ he said, "If I filed a lawsuit for something that high profile, it would be all over. I'm far from miserable... I am not bitter. I have no idea what's going on."

However, Minaj claimed that Samuels has been emailing her nonstop even when she was already with Mills. In fact, Mills even asked Samuels to stop contacting Minaj. "This man can't move on. It's really sad. I have emails to prove it," Minaj tweeted.
